As a Business Development Representative for the Benelux region, you will play a critical part in driving the company’s growth by generating and nurturing sales leads for our unified, cloud‑based platform focused on Human Risk Management and comprehensive email security. The Mimecast product suite protects organizations against phishing, ransomware and impersonation while providing data archiving, continuity and employee training to reduce insider threats.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct outbound prospecting via cold calls, outbound emails, social media and email campaigns to identify and qualify potential leads.
  • Follow‑up on marketing‑generated leads to assess fit and potential for Mimecast products.
  • Collaborate with reseller partners to identify and generate joint opportunities.
  • Research and profile target accounts to identify key decision makers, stakeholders and potential pain points.
  • Articulate Mimecast’s value proposition, secure meetings and hand off qualified leads to the wider sales team.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and ensure accurate tracking of all activities in the CRM system.
  • Conduct initial needs analysis to understand prospect requirements and business challenges.
  • Work closely with Account Executives, marketing teams and channel partners to ensure seamless transition of qualified leads.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape and customer needs to refine outreach strategies.
  • Schedule qualified meetings with appropriate sales representatives or Account Executives.
  • Attend training sessions and stay updated on product developments to enhance prospecting effectiveness.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience in tele‑sales, business development or outbound prospecting (preferred but not required).
  • Fluency in English and Dutch.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A sales‑driven, self‑starter mindset with a desire to exceed targets.
  • Resilience and the ability to handle objections and rejection.
  • Tech‑savvy: experience using sales engagement platforms, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM and automation tools.

The on‑target earnings (OTE) range for this position is £40,000–£66,000 (OTE) plus benefits, with potential eligibility for incentive plans and additional company‑policy benefits.
