About Mimecast
At Mimecast, our mission is clear: we stop bad things from happening to good organisations. With over 40,000 customers worldwide, we empower businesses to be more resilient against cyber threats and ensure business continuity. We’re innovators, collaborators, and problem-solvers who thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
The Role
We’re looking for a driven Programme Manager to join our Global Enablement team. This role is built for someone who brings the best of both worlds: real-world experience in Sales Engineering and a proven ability to design and deliver enablement that drives results. You understand the SE motion from the inside - what great technical selling looks like, what makes onboarding sink or swim, and where knowledge gaps slow deals down. And you know how to turn that insight into structured, scalable learning experiences. Now you’ll bring both skill sets to bear, building programmes that make a measurable difference for Mimecast’s Sales Engineering teams globally.
What You’ll Do
- Execute and Improve the Onboarding Journey
Deliver and continuously improve the onboarding programme for new Sales Engineers and internal transfers, helping them ramp quickly and contribute to customer success. Apply your firsthand SE experience to identify what new hires truly need to know - and sequence it in a way that sticks. Partner with SE managers to calibrate onboarding milestones and gather feedback that drives continuous improvement. - Design and Deliver Enablement Programmes
Curate and create tailored learning experiences for Sales Engineers and front-line SE managers at every stage of the sales process. Translate complex technical concepts and sales methodologies into clear, practical content that resonates with technical audiences. Develop content using AI tools and emerging instructional approaches - curiosity and willingness to learn new design techniques matter more than a formal ID background. - Track and Report on Impact
Use team-established metrics to measure adoption and effectiveness of enablement programmes. Report on programme performance and surface insights that help the team make data-informed adjustments. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by sharing what’s working and what isn’t. - Collaborate Across Teams
Partner with Sales Engineers, SE managers, and enablement counterparts to identify gaps and align initiatives. Contribute to global consistency in enablement content and programmes, avoiding duplication and building on shared resources. Build strong working relationships across the business to ensure enablement reflects real-world SE needs.
What You’ll Bring
3–5 years of experience in a Sales Engineering, technical sales, or technical consulting role - you understand the SE motion and what technical excellence in the field looks like. 3–5 years of experience in sales enablement, learning & development, or instructional design - you know how to build programmes that land and drive measurable behaviour change. Strong understanding of technical sales processes and what it takes to support both individual contributors and front-line managers. Ability to translate technical knowledge into clear, structured content that helps others learn and apply new skills. Strong communication skills - you can explain complex concepts to diverse audiences without losing the room. A genuine passion for developing others and a curiosity about how people learn best. Collaborative mindset - you thrive working cross-functionally and building relationships across teams. Adaptability and good judgment in a fast-changing environment, comfortable working with general supervision. Proficiency in English.
Nice to Have
Experience with AI-powered content creation or modern enablement tooling. Certifications such as ATD-CPTD or active participation in professional enablement communities. Familiarity with principles of instructional design. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
