We’re seeking a dedicated and child-centred Education, Health and Care (EHC) Delivery Practitioner to join our dynamic Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Team. You’ll deliver high quality educational packages to our most vulnerable children and young people, playing an essential role in supporting them back into education and ensuring their needs are met in line with good practice. This is a site-based role.

Interviews for this role will be held on 28 November.

Main Responsibility
  • As an EHC Delivery Practitioner, you will work collaboratively with schools, settings, families, and multi-agency partners to deliver high-quality educational provision. You will model and advise on effective strategies, facilitate annual reviews, and ensure that Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) are personalised, outcome-focused, and compliant with local and national legislation.
  • This role is ideal for practitioners who are passionate about inclusive education and committed to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND. You will be part of a supportive team that values dedication, respect, and collaboration, and you will contribute to the ongoing development of SEND services across Milton Keynes.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experienced in working with children and young people with SEND.
  • Skilled in multi-agency collaboration and confident in delivering advice and support.
  • Knowledgeable in SEND legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
  • A strong communicator with excellent ICT skills and a commitment to inclusive practice.

Driving licence and vehicle insurance with business insurance are required for this role. Evidence of the driving licence and vehicle insurance with business insurance will be required from the candidate should they be offered this position. Without this documentation, the candidate will not be appointable.

Should you be offered the role, as part of the pre-employment checks an Enhanced DBS will be actioned for you (unless you are on the DBS Update Service).

Our roles are either designated ‘site based’ or ‘home based’. ‘Site based’ roles can include up to two days a week working from home whilst ‘home based’ roles are based at home four days a week. Of course, managers designate which category roles are in based on the needs of the service and the circumstances.
