As an Apprentice Personal Advisor, you’ll provide practical and emotional support to care-experienced young people aged between 16 and 25. Everyone leaving care has an important document called a pathway plan that helps them prepare for the future. In this rewarding role you’ll review those plans, help young people into accommodation, education, employment, or training, and speak up on their behalf.
This is a site-based role and will be fixed term for 18 months.

Main Responsibility- Support care experienced young people to achieve positive outcomes.
- Provide advice, guidance, and practical help, including reviewing pathway plans.
- Work collaboratively with social workers and other professionals.
- Record interactions accurately and adhere to council policies.
- Promote participation and service development for young people.
- You will support the team in co-facilitating group work sessions with care experienced young people.
- Willingness to learn quickly and undertake structured training.
- Previous experience (paid or voluntary) working with children, young people, or families.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and make considered decisions.
- Self-motivated, flexible, and able to manage your own workload.
- If you’re offered the role, we’ll arrange an Enhanced DBS check as part of our pre-employment process (unless you’re already registered with the DBS Update Service).

Our roles are either designated ‘site based’ or ‘home based’. ‘Site based’ roles can include up to two days a week working from home whilst ‘home based’ roles are based at home four days a week. Of course, managers designate which category roles are in based on the needs of the service and the circumstances.
