We wish to recruit a Pharmacy Assistant into our development program, to support the Pharmacy Cancer & Aseptic team in providing services to cancer patients at Milton Keynes University Hospital.
You will contribute to the dispensing and preparation of cytotoxic medicines, collaborate with others to provide safe, accurate, and timely services to patients, ensure aseptic cleanroom environments are always fit for purpose, and maintain high standards of work. You will also be responsible for checking the work of others.
Previous experience working within an aseptic unit and knowledge of good manufacturing practice standards would be ideal. The successful candidate will have opportunities to progress their career within pharmacy through achievement of competencies.

- Responsible for environmental monitoring within the Aseptic Suite.
- Responsible for aseptic preparation of pharmaceuticals.
- Manage stock control of drugs and disposables for the Aseptic Suite, including topping up ward medicine stocks.
- Undertake pharmaceutical work appropriate to your knowledge and experience to support pharmaceutical services.
- Hold the academic and technical skills equivalent to an NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Pharmacy Services Skills.
- Function as a dispenser within our hospital pharmacy service, including weekend and bank holiday services.
