About Us
MKPA is a long‑established children's charity supporting play, training, equipment hire and community resources across Milton Keynes. Our mission is to improve children's wellbeing through play.
The Role
We are looking for a practical, reliable Warehouse Assistant to support our warehouse, at MKPA for 1–2 days per week. This is a hands‑on role involving stock management, delivery and collections, customer support and occasional heavy lifting.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain the warehouse
- Stock management, rotation and replenishment
- Coordinate incoming/outgoing deliveries
- Collect donated resources, planning an effective and timely route
- Support Scrapstore operations
- Deliver and collect hire equipment, checking all items thoroughly
- Assist customers with loading/unloading equipment
- Deliver play equipment to external play sites when necessary
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised and safe
- Complete delivery notes and report discrepancies
- Provide friendly, helpful customer service
What We’re Looking For
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Full UK driving licence (van experience preferred)
- Reliable, flexible and able to work independently
- Good time‑management and problem‑solving skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Understanding of reuse/repurposing materials (or willingness to learn)
