Milton Keynes College have an exciting opportunity for a Library Assistant to be involved in delivering library and learning resource services to residents at HMP Fosse Way, Leicester.
The working hours for this role would be:
- Wednesday & Thursday 11.00 - 19.30 (1hr lunch)
- Friday 08.10 - 16.40 (1hr lunch)
- Saturday & Sunday 08:45-17:00 (45 mins lunch)
The role as Library Assistant has several key elements which include:
- Developing a high-quality library service within the prison
- Supporting and developing activities with partner agencies - such as the Shannon Trust “Turning Pages” scheme, Reading Ahead
- Selecting and acquiring library resources in consultation with colleagues and users to enable a vibrant provision
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to assist in the day-to-day running of the prison library. If you possess excellent communication and organisational skills, this is a fantastic opportunity to promote reading to learners and provide a high standard of service to all library users.
