Milton Keynes College has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Digital Skills Tutor to join the team at HMP Bullingdon in March / April 2027.

In this rewarding role, you will engage prison-based learners through practical, hands‑on learning, helping them develop the essential digital skills needed for everyday life, further education, and employment.

Many of our learners have diverse needs and learning abilities and may have experienced significant barriers to education. As a successful tutor, you will inspire and motivate learners by creating a positive, supportive learning environment that builds confidence, encourages participation, and promotes achievement.

As a Digital Skills Tutor, you will deliver engaging courses focused on practical IT skills, including using word processing software, creating and formatting documents, working with spreadsheets, and producing effective presentations using presentation software. You will support learners to develop their digital confidence and apply their new skills in real‑world and workplace contexts.

You will not only help learners achieve qualifications and learning goals but also equip them with valuable digital skills that can support progression into further education, vocational training, and employment opportunities upon release.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable individual who is committed to making a real difference through education. A recognised teaching qualification, such as a Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent), is desirable, along with experience of delivering engaging and effective learning to learners with a wide range of abilities and needs.

If you are passionate about helping learners develop the practical digital skills they need to succeed, we would love to hear from you.
