Milton Keynes College has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Outreach Lecturer who believes in the transformative power of education. Based at HMP Bullingdon, this rewarding role involves delivering Generic Awards in Maths and English to learners who are unable to attend traditional classroom sessions due to a range of barriers.

Working across the prison estate, you will engage and support learners with diverse educational needs and abilities. Many learners may have experienced challenges with education in the past, making it essential that you can create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment. Through your enthusiasm and commitment, you will help learners build confidence, develop valuable skills and achieve qualifications that support their progression into further learning, employment and positive outcomes upon release.

We are looking for an inspiring and adaptable educator with strong communication skills and a learner-centred approach. A recognised teaching qualification, such as a Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent), is desirable, along with experience of delivering engaging and effective learning.

This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference by helping learners overcome barriers, achieve their potential and gain skills that can positively impact their future.

Milton Keynes College is passionate about reducing re-offending by providing learners with qualifications and skills that they can apply to employment whilst in custody and upon release. We would like you to be part of the learner’s journey, offering your skills and knowledge to guide them throughout their courses.

If you are highly motivated with a can-do approach to education, this is a great opportunity for you!
