We’re recruiting two Social Workers (Level 3) to join our Children’s Services at Milton Keynes City Council. Both positions are full time – one Permanent and one Fixed Term (12 months).

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with children, young people and families, ensuring their needs are understood, supported and safeguarded.
  • Recruit foster carers to provide good quality foster placements, enabling children of Milton Keynes to thrive within their local networks.
  • Recruit, train and support mainstream foster carers; assess and support kinship carers; manage private fostering and special guardianship placements.
  • Hold a full and varied caseload, including complex cases, and take professional responsibility for delivering high-quality social work that improves outcomes for children.

Position Details

  • Full-time role – Permanent or Fixed Term (12 months).
  • Site‑based – work from the designated workplace.
