We’re recruiting a Revenues Inspector for our Council Tax team within the Revenues and Benefits service at Milton Keynes City Council. This team administers Council Tax accounts, processes reliefs and exemptions, resolves customer enquiries and applies legislation accurately.
As a Revenues Inspector you will support this work by conducting inspections and inquiries that ensure fair, accurate and up‑to‑date records. You’ll help ensure legislation is applied consistently and support the council to maximise income collection to fund essential services.
Responsibilities
- Carry out inspections and enquiries to maintain accurate Council Tax records.
- Apply legislation consistently across all cases.
- Assist residents, businesses and other stakeholders in understanding and managing Council Tax, including accessing reductions where eligible.
- Resolve complex issues quickly and fairly.
