Overview: You will help us provide a smooth, well-organised service that supports colleagues and the children, young people and families we work with. You will also help us keep information flowing, records accurate and processes running well.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to incoming communication such as phone calls, emails and post, making sure messages and information reach the right colleagues quickly.
- Carry out a range of administrative tasks and support the team with work delegated by managers, ensuring everything is completed to a high standard.
- Complete checks and references for prospective carers and record actions accurately on our systems.
- Help retrieve and manage Children’s Services files and follow our information governance procedures.
- Process purchase orders and invoices using our finance systems and help keep office supplies stocked.
- Can use Microsoft Office confidently and input data accurately.
- Has a level two qualification in Business Administration or equivalent experience, including fast and accurate word processing skills.
- Communicates clearly with different audiences, both verbally and in writing.
- Can organise their workload, meet deadlines and keep track of several tasks at once.
- Can handle sensitive and confidential information and build positive working relationships.
If you are offered the role, we will carry out a Basic DBS check.
