We’re recruiting a Shift Leader to join our Residential Short Breaks Service at Furze House, where you’ll lead a dedicated team supporting children with complex needs. This role is for you if you’re ready to take the next step in your career and want to make a meaningful difference every day.

In this rewarding role, you’ll help create a safe, nurturing and supportive environment where children can feel valued, enjoy new experiences and achieve the best possible outcomes. You’ll lead by example, guiding colleagues and ensuring high‑quality, person‑centred care is delivered on every shift.

Employment Details

This is a Site‑Based role and you’ll be expected to work from the designated workplace. You’ll work a two‑week rolling rota, including a mix of early and late shifts, as well as allocated sleep‑in duties.

  • Early shifts: 7:00am to 2:30pm.
  • Late shifts: 2:00pm to 9:30pm.
  • Week one: Tuesday (early), Thursday (late), Friday (early).
  • Week two: Monday (late), Tuesday (late), Thursday (early), Friday (early and late split shift), Saturday (early), Sunday (late).

This shift pattern is currently under review and may change within the next year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team to deliver person‑centred care for children with complex needs.
  • Guide colleagues and manage activities to ensure safety and quality.
  • Ensure high‑quality care is delivered on every shift.

Benefits

Additional Working Patterns (AWP) Level1 payment of 5%.
