Job Description: In this role, you will be the local UK & Ireland expert that supports our Light Sheet Microscopy portfolios. As our key customer‑facing contact, you will be responsible for identifying and nurturing instrument and consumables sales opportunities in the UK & Ireland territories. With your scientific expertise and ability to build strong relationships, you will have the unique opportunity to apply your passion for Imaging in a dynamic sales environment, and make a direct impact on business revenue. With your local market insights and established connections in the area, you will network to explore new business opportunities with focus on:
- Identifying and nurturing imaging instruments and consumables opportunities in the Academic, Biotech and Clinical sectors to ultimately achieve sales targets.
- Lead customer‑focused, application‑based support such as product demonstrations, seminars, training, installations and troubleshooting.
- Take ownership of Miltenyi’s imaging awareness and community‑building activities (such as trade shows and other events) in the region.
- Support the Sales & Marketing team with actionable insights to grow the reagents and instruments business in the UK & Ireland.
- Contribute to team projects in a high‑trust environment, supporting the company culture of entrepreneurial spirit, innovative mindset and pragmatic problem‑solving.
Qualifications: PhD with a strong background in cell biology, neuroscience, stem cells, oncology, immunology, haematology, biophysics or related fields. Experience in Cell & Gene Therapy is a plus. Minimum of 3 years of experience in microscopy (confocal and/or light sheet strongly preferred). Beneficial to have experience in histology and immunohistochemistry. Specific experience with tissue‑clearing techniques and knowledge of image‑analysis software is desirable. Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills in face‑to‑face and virtual settings, ranging from small to large groups. Positive energy with strong interpersonal skills; flexibility, hands‑on mentality and perseverance characterize your working style. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) and familiarity with CRM systems. Fluent in English; excellent business communication skills.
Additional Information: Working predominantly in the field (~80%) your workplace will be home‑based with some time at the office in Bisley, Surrey. A valid work permit/residency and a full, clean UK driving licence are mandatory. Willingness to travel throughout the UK and Ireland is expected.
