Experience luxury stays with elegant rooms, stylish suites, and award-winning dining at each of our hotels. Nestled in scenic Essex and Suffolk, our properties offer the perfect base to explore picturesque villages, riverside landscapes, and historic coastal towns.

Milsoms is a welcoming, independently run family hotel with 15 beautifully appointed bedrooms and a range of inviting common areas. We take pride in offering exceptional comfort, cleanliness, and service to every guest.

This is a permanent position starting in February, working 4 days per week (9am–3/4pm). Hourly rate: £13.50 plus a share of tips.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and motivate the housekeeping team to deliver consistently high standards.
  • Organise and oversee the cleaning of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Train, supervise, and support housekeeping staff in daily operations.
  • Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and linen.
  • Work closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth communication across departments.
  • Uphold and promote health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Be flexible to meet the changing needs of the business, including weekend work.

About You

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory or management role within housekeeping.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and cleaning knowledge.
  • Understand the pace and efficiency required to service hotel rooms to a high standard.
  • A positive team leader who works well with others.
  • Professional communication skills and a hands-on approach.
  • Reliable, flexible, and passionate about delivering a great guest experience.
  • Available to work weekends.
