Great communications and policy advice starts with brilliant research and analysis. As a Senior Analyst at Milltown Partners, you'll bring a more developed perspective to that work – not just producing the analysis that informs our advice, but beginning to shape it. You'll have enough experience to work with greater independence, take ownership of your outputs, and start to contribute meaningfully to how we solve problems for clients. You'll work on live challenges across a range of sectors and issue types.
What you'll do:
- Turn information into insight: Use research platforms like Factiva and Meltwater to monitor media, track policymakers and stakeholders, and understand the landscape our clients operate in. Leverage our internal AI studio and tools such as Claude and Notebook LM to produce rigorous and useful analysis.
- Help shape strategy: Contribute to discussions about what our clients should do and how they should communicate. Develop your own perspectives on the issues our clients face and share them with colleagues and clients.
- Write for different audiences: Draft content that's clear, compelling, and tailored to purpose for various audiences including CEOs, policymakers, journalists, and investors.
- Keep teams organised: Manage logistics that keep client work moving - scheduling, monitoring, agendas, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
- Contribute to a collaborative culture: Work with people across the firm, give and receive feedback regularly, and help create an environment where everyone can do their best work.
What we're looking for:
- At least 18 months professional experience in communications, policy or a related field.
- Essential: Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience conducting research and translating findings into clear analysis; understanding of reputation management and corporate storytelling; genuine interest in technology; experience using AI tools effectively; intellectual curiosity about subjects relevant to our clients; collaborative instincts; commitment to seeking feedback.
- Desirable: Interest or experience in technology policy, financial communications, stakeholder engagement; familiarity with frontier technology, AI, or science; technical side projects or interests.
