We’re looking for a technically strong Accounting Manager to join our Finance team in London. Reporting to our Financial Controller, this is a broad, global accounting role with a meaningful focus on revenue.
The role involves:
- Owning global revenue recognition: ensuring all client revenue is correctly booked, deferred, and accrued in line with accounting standards.
- Managing billing milestones, reconciling third-party cost recharges, and ensuring billing and sales orders in NetSuite are consistent with revenue schedules.
- Owning global balance sheet reconciliations and reviewing the Management Accountant’s work – ensuring accuracy across expense allocations, GL coding, and journal postings within NetSuite.
- Reviewing monthly budget versus actuals, flagging material variances, and supporting ad hoc financial analysis as required.
- Acting as primary point of contact for auditors throughout the annual audit process, managing all audit working papers across entities.
- Reviewing the work of the wider finance team and taking ownership of the month-end close schedule, ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Identifying process improvements across accounting and revenue workflows; maintaining finance policies and controls.
- Supporting ad hoc finance projects and being the London-based point of contact for the wider Finance team.
Essential skills:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, with a strong technical accounting foundation - including balance sheet, VAT, and audit.
- Hands-on revenue recognition experience – either from an audit background or an industry role with a revenue focus.
- NetSuite experience or equivalent ERP.
- The ability to take ownership, work independently, and flag issues without prompting.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable operating across a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
- Confident communicator, able to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Commitment to contributing to a supportive and inclusive culture.
Successful applicants will need to have the right to work in the UK; while it is possible for us to sponsor work permits, this may not be the case in all circumstances.
Desirable skills:
- Experience working with CRM systems, such as HubSpot.
- Experience working in a transatlantic or global business.
- Experience working in a professional services firm or SME.
