Line Manager/Reports to: Head of Product

Location: Hybrid (one day a week in our London office)

About the role

We're looking for a Product Manager to join our growing Product Team. You'll work on our FX product, which our clients rely on every day to manage their execution and risk. We’re continuing to evolve our product and expand our client base, building richer functionality and developing AI‑powered insights that genuinely change how our users work. This is an execution‑focused role: you'll collaborate with the Head of Product to prioritise features, then drive them from discovery through to delivery, working closely with senior stakeholders, engineers, designers, architects and testers. Over time, as you build depth in the domain, the expectation is that you grow into the Product Lead for FX.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver features end‑to‑end. Take prioritised features from discovery through to delivery – writing clear requirements, working with design and engineering on the right solution, and seeing them through to release.
  • Build prototypes with AI tools. We use Claude and ChatGPT to prototype interfaces, analyse product data, and generate platform content. You'll do the same – quickly, often, and as a core part of how you work through ideas.
  • Learn the domain deeply. FX and the way our clients actually use our product is genuinely complex. You'll invest real time in understanding it – reading, listening, asking questions of the people in the business who know it best, and grounding your decisions in that understanding.
  • Work cross‑functionally. Collaborate day‑to‑day with design, engineering, architecture, and QA. Engage regularly with operations, sales, and compliance – the teams who depend on what we deliver and who often have the best signal on what’s working and what isn’t.
  • Use data to make decisions. Our platform is inherently mathematical. You'll use data to understand client activity, identify and solve problems, and evaluate whether what we’ve shipped is doing what we intended.
  • Communicate clearly, in writing and in person. Whether it’s a requirements document, email, or a conversation with an engineer or stakeholder – clarity matters more than polish.

What we’re looking for

MillTech is a growing business with a small product team and the culture matters as much as the CV. We’re looking for someone with the right experience, but just as importantly, someone we’ll enjoy working with and who’ll enjoy working with us.

  • 2+ years of product management experience in a technology team.
  • You love building products. You care about the details, enjoy working through hard problems with a team, and get a kick when something you’ve built lands well with the people who use it.
  • Genuine curiosity and humility about complex domains. You’ll be working alongside people who know FX and our business deeply, and we want someone who’s excited to learn from them.
  • Strong quantitative reasoning. You’re comfortable with numbers, can work with data confidently, and don’t shy away from problems that need a calculator.
  • Hands‑on experience with AI tools. You’ve used Claude, ChatGPT, or similar to build prototypes, analyse data, or generate content – and you can show us something you’ve made.
  • Clear written communication. You can explain a technical concept, a product decision, or a trade‑off in writing in a way that lands with engineers, designers, and non‑technical stakeholders alike.
  • Someone we’ll enjoy working with. Honest, kind, and collaborative. A small team lives or dies on this – we take it seriously.

What do we offer in return?

Our commitment is to help you flourish in this role, through support with your professional development, opportunities to be involved in key projects, and exposure to challenges that you may not be offered in a larger organisation. We will provide:

  • A competitive salary with annual reviews.
  • 25 days’ paid annual leave plus an additional day per year of service.
  • Excellent staff development and training opportunities.
  • Flexible working arrangements including remote working.
  • Medical insurance.
  • EV Scheme and Cycle to work scheme.
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
  • One day off for charity work per quarter and many other benefits.
