The English Teacher – Primary Level is responsible for delivering high-quality English language and literacy instruction aligned with the Cambridge Primary English Curriculum. The role focuses on developing students’ reading, writing, speaking, listening, phonics, and early literacy skills through engaging, age-appropriate, and child-centered teaching practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the Cambridge Primary English framework.
- Develop students’ phonics, reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, speaking, and listening skills.
- Apply differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Integrate storytelling, literature, drama, and creative writing into classroom practice.
- Promote a love for reading through guided reading and literacy activities.
- Maintain positive classroom management and a supportive learning environment.
Assessment & Reporting
- Conduct formative and summative assessments in line with Cambridge assessment standards.
- Maintain accurate academic records, student portfolios, and progress data.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
- Prepare academic reports and participate in Parent–Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
Student Support & Well-being
- Identify individual learning needs and provide appropriate academic support.
- Collaborate with support staff for students requiring additional assistance.
- Promote students’ emotional well-being, positive behavior, and values.
Professional Responsibilities
- Participate in curriculum planning, moderation, and review meetings.
- Contribute to interdisciplinary projects, school events, and activities.

Required Qualifications & Experience
