Mills & Reeve are offering an exciting opportunity to join our Communications team, within our national Marketing group, as a Digital Communications Intern on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

The role

As a Digital Communications Intern, you will gain hands‑on experience across a broad range of digital marketing activities, supporting website content updates, optimisation, and social media management alongside design and editing tasks. You will use our content management system (CMS) and corporate social channels daily and have opportunities to contribute to wider marketing projects and SEO initiatives. This hybrid role is based in Birmingham, Cambridge, Manchester or Norwich, with a minimum of 50% office attendance expected.

The person We're Looking For Someone Who Is

  • Studying (or has completed) a degree in digital marketing or a related field
  • Highly digitally literate, with strong attention to detail
  • Skilled in written English, grammar and proofreading
  • Organised, analytical and able to manage detailed tasks efficiently
  • A confident communicator and collaborative team player

You’ll Also Bring

  • A solid understanding of social media platforms and strategies
  • The ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
  • (Desirable) Experience producing or editing podcasts

The activities With Full Training Provided, You’ll

  • Maintain and optimise website content (including SEO elements such as metadata and alt tags)
  • Create and publish content across Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube, supporting campaigns (e.g. trainee takeovers)
  • Assist with podcast and video production/editing
  • Monitor performance and produce social media analytics reports
  • Update blogs, alerts and wider website content
  • Support development of CMS and social media best practice guidelines
  • Contribute to marketing campaigns, internal communications and events
