Mills & Reeve are hiring an Intern to join our Client Development team, on a 12 month fixed term contract, sitting within our wider Marketing group.

The role

Join our award-winning Marketing team as a Client Development Intern on a 12-month contract starting in September 2026.

Based in Birmingham or Manchester, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in client insights, data analysis and client development within a leading professional services firm.

Working on our industry-leading Fearless Feedback Programme, you'll help gather and analyse client feedback, uncover valuable insights, and support initiatives that strengthen client relationships and drive business growth.

As part of our successful intern programme, you'll work alongside experienced professionals and play a key role in helping us achieve our ambition of a 95% client recommendation rate by 2030.

The person

We're looking for a curious, analytical and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working with data and understanding customer behaviour.

  • You’ll Likely Be
  • Studying towards (or already hold) a degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, Psychology or a related subject, with a 2:1 or above.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and confident using digital tools.
  • A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Organised, methodical and able to manage detailed tasks effectively.
  • A proactive team player with a passion for improving client experiences and business outcomes.

Previous experience in data analysis, client insights or customer experience would be beneficial, but is not essential.

Hybrid working applies, with an expectation of 50% office attendance.

  • The activities
  • Support the delivery of our client feedback and insight programmes.
  • Collect, analyse and interpret client data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Help manage client surveys, working with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Produce reports and presentations that influence business decisions.
  • Support client listening initiatives, including interviews and feedback reporting.
  • Contribute to strategic client programmes and business growth initiatives.
  • Develop best-practice processes, templates and guidance materials.
  • Provide general support across the Client Development team.
