Join Mills & Reeve as a Senior Associate – Infrastructure, a commercial solicitor role within the Projects and Infrastructure team.
This role involves advising on high‑value, high‑profile projects across the Social Infrastructure PPP sector, including:
- Student accommodation and living sector projects
- Renewables and net‑zero projects
- Government sector projects
- Health sector projects
- Legacy/operational PFI projects
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or co‑lead major projects and design innovative contract structures.
- Advise on PFI operational matters, expiry and variation.
- Advise on future PPP and PFI successor models.
- Advise on renewables and low‑carbon projects (heat networks, solar, decentralised schemes).
- Structure, draft and negotiate high‑value commercial contracts.
- Mentor and supervise junior team members.
- Conduct business development and marketing events.
- Coordinate project management for seamless service delivery.
- Develop procurement skills as required.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years commercial law experience.
- Experience with public sector contracting or in the private sector working with the public sector.
- Strong drafting skills (Model Services Contract, PFI/PPP documentation).
- Clear, pragmatic advice and collaborative client working.
- Provision for public procurement experience (plus).
- Security clearance (plus).
- Enthusiastic and a “can‑do” attitude.
