We are seeking an ambitious 3+ PQE Pensions lawyer to join our highly regarded team, advising trustees, employers and public sector clients.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced pensions solicitor to join our pensions team which sits within our Employment, Pensions and Immigration National Service Line (NSL). This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful team, to support further growth, to take a crucial role on client teams and to work alongside and help develop more junior members of the team.
Essential
- 3-6 years' post qualification experience in a reputable firm with a substantive pensions law practice.
- Strong technical competence and legal knowledge in pensions law.
- Ability to deliver high-quality, commercially focused advice.
- Effective client relationship and client service skills.
- Experience of business development activities.
- Experience with bulk annuity transactions, public sector pensions (employer or trustee side), corporate transaction support, and day-to-day pensions advice for ongoing schemes.
Client Service
- Deliver outstanding client service to both internal and external clients to encourage client retention and referrals.
- Understand clients' legal, commercial, and service requirements.
- Deliver training to clients and target clients.
- Supervise junior lawyers where appropriate.
The activities
- Undertake a broad mix of pensions work, supporting trustee and employer clients, as well as public sector pensions clients.
- Advise corporate and commercial clients, including defined benefit schemes sponsored by Cambridge University, the University of East Anglia, the Publicis Groupe pension schemes, charities, NHS Trusts, and other university clients.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in banking, commercial, corporate, and employment sectors.
- Support two partners, a Principal Associate and an Associate whilst working together with junior lawyers in the team.
