This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated specialist national team, working on a diverse portfolio of estates, including complex and high-value trusts and estate administration. It’s the perfect role for someone looking to develop their expertise and progress their career within a highly respected practice.

Our Private Client team handles a wide range of work, including will drafting, estate and complex tax planning, trust and estate administration, preparation of lasting powers of attorney, and charity advice. We act for wealthy families, business leaders, and landowners, providing expert guidance across diverse and often complex matters. The trust management team forms an integral part of this cross-office offering, led by partner Deborah Clark and supported by a professional support lawyer.

Responsibilities
  • Management and administration of trusts to include inputting data into the firm’s standard trust accounting tools and preparation of all related accounting records and HMRC returns
  • Corresponding with banks, investment managers and others regarding funds and investments held on behalf of clients
  • Corresponding with various parties regarding the administration of assets held within a trust, involving liaising between parties to obtain instructions and forwarding these on as appropriate
  • Making payments to beneficiaries
  • Running files under supervision
Requirements
  • Experience in trust work is advantageous, but applications from those seeking a new challenge and career progression are welcome.
  • Knowledge of preparing basic accounts or familiarity with double-entry bookkeeping would be beneficial.
  • STEP qualification or working towards it is desirable but not essential.
