Trust and Estate Practitioner/Paralegal – Private Client (0303)

We are hiring an experienced Trust & Estate Practitioner/Paralegal to join our growing team in Birmingham. If you\’re looking for a new opportunity to be part of an established team, we would love to hear from you!

The Role

Working within the Private Client National Service Line in the Birmingham office, this role will be responsible for document production, particularly of Wills, trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and estate administrations. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Preparing Wills, trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and associated documentation and covering letters based on instructions from solicitors in the team.
  • Administering estates, including managing files through the process, collating estate information, applying for Probate, completing HMRC reporting for IHT and income tax, collecting estate assets, distributing to beneficiaries, and preparing estate accounts.
  • Managing day-to-day contact with clients as required.

The Person

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience within a private client practice.
  • Strong IT skills and good written English.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with partners, clients, and intermediaries.
  • Ability to work productively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Effective prioritization skills.
  • Enthusiastic team player willing to take on challenges.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
