We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our Residential Real Estate team, which is based in our London and Cambridge offices.

The role involves managing smaller transactions and client relationships with supervision and guidance, while supporting the delivery of larger transactions. The team sits within the firm's Real Estate National Service Line (NSL), led by Vincenzo Maggio and supported by professional support lawyers.

Key areas of work:

  • High-value freehold and leasehold sales and purchases of residential properties across England and Wales, from prime central London apartments to country houses and luxury new builds.
  • Supporting Private Wealth colleagues on trust and estate structures involving residential property, including asset transfers arising from matrimonial proceedings.
  • Implementing university and Oxbridge college housing schemes.

Client base:

  • High-net-worth individuals (UK and international).
  • Family offices.
  • Trustees and offshore structures.
  • Universities and Oxbridge colleges.

The person:

Your background and experience will include:

  • Relevant residential and/or high net worth property experience.
  • Law degree or equivalent, or familiarity with the building blocks of law.
  • Excellent written English and the ability to produce clear, logical drafting.
  • High-quality client service focus including discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive client matters.
  • Numeracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt communications to sophisticated and diverse client bases.
  • Strong organisational skills, with effective time management and a systematic and proactive approach to managing matters.
  • IT literacy and confidence in using legal technology and document management systems.
  • Team player.

The following background and experience would be helpful but is not essential:

  • High quality paralegal or other legal experience.
