We are looking for an Associate to join our Real Estate team in Manchester. The role is based in Manchester, where you'll work alongside partners Caroline Hanratty, Rachel Pitman, Jennifer Lewis and Hannah Cheminais within one of the region's fastest-growing Real Estate teams. Ranked highly in the legal directories and shortlisted for NW Business Insider Property Law Firm for seven consecutive years, the team advises an impressive client base including Bruntwood, Muse, Homes England, Urban&Civic, Kids Planet, the University of Salford and several local authorities, with strong expertise in the Health and Education sectors.

Working across both regional and national matters, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of clients and transactions, developing your skills through hands-on experience, supervision and training. The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of your own transactions while supporting larger team-based projects.

The person we are looking for will be a newly qualified to 2 years PQE solicitor or a Legal Executive with at least a year's experience (or equivalent experience in real estate work). You will be able to demonstrate a pro-active approach, have good attention to detail, possess lateral thinking and problem-solving skills. You will have effective time and matter management abilities and a systematic approach to work, demonstrating flexibility to work with several partners and team members. This will require excellent communication skills including the ability to influence and persuade. You will also be able to build good working relationships with clients and potential clients.

In Manchester, we would expect you to be involved in business development from the outset and we would work with you to help you develop your own networking skills and contacts.

The activities we will provide you with the opportunity to be involved in include: development and regeneration projects, landlord and tenant, asset management, freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, investment work, corporate real estate, and due diligence reporting on corporate acquisitions.

The benefits include a competitive salary and a wide range of benefits. If we offer you a role, we will conduct comprehensive pre-employment screening. This screening will include, but is not limited to, a basic DBS, verification of your right to work, a three year employment history and a self-declaration to assess your character and suitability for the role.
