Join Mills & Reeve as Facilities Team Leader and help shape a professional, efficient and welcoming environment for everyone who works in and visits our Cambridge office.

The role:

  • As Facilities Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our Cambridge office, leading a high-performing Facilities team that delivers outstanding service to colleagues, clients and building occupiers.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for facilities-related matters, you will oversee day-to-day operations, build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and sub-tenants, and help establish the Facilities team as a vital function within the firm.
  • Working closely with the Senior Facilities Manager, Executive Support Team Leaders and IT teams, you will drive service excellence, identify opportunities to improve processes and supplier performance, and maintain high standards across the building.
  • From supporting health and safety compliance and business continuity planning to managing building inspections, office moves, budgets and service charge activities, you will ensure our workplace remains safe, professional and efficient.
  • You will also lead, motivate and develop the Facilities team, ensuring resources are managed effectively and service levels remain consistently high. This includes overseeing training and development, performance management, appraisals, absence and annual leave management, and fostering a collaborative, customer-focused culture.
  • Leading by example, you will champion the firm's values while providing first-class support to colleagues across the business.

This role is 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, covering between the hours of 07.30-18.00 on a rota basis, with 1 hour for lunch.

The person:

  • Proven experience leading and motivating a facilities team.
  • Strong facilities management experience, including health and safety responsibilities.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, positive and customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Calm under pressure, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities.
  • Collaborative, resourceful and detail-oriented.
  • IWFM membership and/or IOSH qualification (or working towards).
  • Experience supporting office moves, refurbishments and facilities projects.
  • Budget management experience and knowledge of building M&E services systems.
