An experienced & enthusiastic Full Stack Developer with broad & proven API skills, sought by an established & successful Gloucestershire based software house who are modernising the company's core digital infrastructure. Their award winning products are leaders in their field and utilised by clients worldwide.
The Web/Software Developer will play a key role in developing a scalable, secure, and maintainable platform that integrates E-commerce, CRM, licensing, and other business-critical systems. This is a hands-on development role for a Web Developer who thrives on complex, integrated systems, enjoys problem solving across the full stack, and wants to contribute to a mission-critical platform.
You will develop new features & functionality for Front End & Back End components, implement & maintain robust API integrations, assist in monitoring, troubleshooting, & resolving production issues and participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain high standards of code & product quality.
Key Qualifications:- Laravel/PHP for API development plus API integrations, connecting multiple business systems.
- Front End frameworks such as Vue.js (or similar).
- Familiarity with Node.js for working on an existing LoopBack application.
- Experience with CMS platforms and content/data migrations.
- Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL) and familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
- Proficiency with Git version control, containerisation tools (Docker), and cloud deployment (AWS, DigitalOcean, or similar).
- Comfortable working with Linux-based web environments, including deployment, monitoring and maintenance.
- Any exposure to the following is advantageous: Nuxt.js for SSR/SSG Front End development, CI/CD workflows and automated testing in Laravel or similar frameworks; exposure to headless CMS platforms and/or Nginx configuration.
This is a close-knit friendly company, offering lots of variety & a flexible approach; great opportunity to play a key part in the company's progression and to really utilise your own ideas & knowledge whilst furthering your technical experience too.
Salary £45-55k (depending on experience) plus benefits including pension, holiday etc. You will work Monday to Friday office hours. You are welcome to work predominantly remotely/from home (ideally within 100 miles of Gloucestershire) with occasional team meetings in the office 4-8 times a year.
