HGV Class 1 C+E Night Driver Store Deliveries Temp to Perm £18.00 Per Hour for 12 Weeks After 12 Weeks £45,500 PA
Description
Millison Chase Limited is recruiting HGV Class 1 C+E Night Drivers for an excellent temporary to permanent opportunity completing regular retail store deliveries.
You will operate on established regular routes, delivering to approximately 5 stores per shift. As deliveries take place outside normal trading hours, drivers will act as key holders, accessing stores and ensuring goods are safely delivered into the premises.
This is a hands-on driving position. Handball is required, with electric pump trucks and tail lifts provided to assist with moving the load into stores.
Shifts are normally 10 to 13 hours, offering consistent hours and the opportunity to secure a permanent position paying £45,500 per year.
Pay & Progression
- £18.00 per hour PAYE Monday to Friday
- Enhanced rates for weekend working
- Weekly PAYE pay during the temporary period

Responsibilities
- Complete approximately 5 store deliveries per shift
- Drive established and regular delivery routes
- Complete night-time and after-hours store deliveries
- Act as a trusted key holder for customer premises
- Safely access stores outside normal opening hours
- Move goods from the vehicle into the stores
- Use electric pump trucks and tail lifts
- Complete required handball and load movement
- Complete vehicle checks, paperwork and PODs
- Follow Drivers Hours and Tachograph regulations
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 C+E Licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience
- Comfortable completing handball and store deliveries
- Confident using tail lifts and electric pump trucks
- Reliable and trustworthy due to key holder responsibilities
- Comfortable working night shifts of approximately 10 to 13 hours
- Good customer service and communication skills
