Are you an experienced and passionate ECE teacher with a heart for preschoolers? Millie's House Shirley Road is looking for a fun and engaging team leader who loves a good vibe in the preschool room. Our whole team is fun, supportive and positive and we want to welcome a new colleague. You don't need to have been a team leader before. This could be a good opportunity for a step up.

As the lead teacher for our preschoolers, you will ensure fun learning and:

  • lead with heart, knowledge and understanding of ECE
  • deliver a curriculum that supports our preschoolers' progress through a planning, implementation and evaluation process, ensuring tamariki interests and needs are at the centre of our programme
  • build and maintain strong, intentional relationships with parents and whānau, creating and sharing the learning moments that build their child's development
  • support the teaching team to collaborate, learn and reach collective and personal growth goals to achieve the early learning you aspire to deliver, and to see the future as the teacher you and your colleagues aspire to be

You need to be a:

  • qualified and certificated ECE teacher ready-to-step-up
  • Aotearoa experienced teacher or have proven leadership experience
  • teacher with a solid understanding of Te Whāriki and intentional teaching
  • collaborative team player who communicates with warmth and professionalism
