Millfield is seeking a proactive and organised Travel and Transport Manager to oversee the safe, efficient and compliant operation of transport services across our vibrant school community. Responsible for managing our fleet, transport team and external providers, you will play a vital role in ensuring pupils travel safely and that the school's extensive transport requirements run smoothly on a daily basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy operational team at one of the UK's leading independent schools. You'll work collaboratively with colleagues across the school, providing a high-quality transport service that supports academic, sporting and co-curricular activities, while continually reviewing processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery.
We're looking for a confident manager with proven experience in transport, travel or fleet operations. You will have strong leadership skills, excellent organisational ability and the confidence to build effective relationships with colleagues, pupils, parents and external providers. A valid Certificate of Professional Competence for Transport Managers (Road Haulage) (or a desire to achieve the qualification) and a thorough understanding of transport compliance and regulatory requirements are essential for this role.
Hours of Work and Salary
- 52 weeks per year
- 37.5 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm
- Salary: Up to £36,071 per annum
