Millfield School is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Fencing Coach to join our coaching team on a zero-hour basis.
As part of our specialist fencing programme, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality coaching to individual athletes, working closely with our wider performance support teams, including athletic development, psychology and performance analysis.
Millfield is committed to providing exceptional sporting opportunities for pupils aged 5–18, regardless of experience or ability.
Our renowned fencing programme includes specialist coaches across all three disciplines and is supported by outstanding facilities, including a purpose-built Fencing Salle with eight training pistes, each equipped with in-built scoring boxes and lighting.
The successful candidate will hold or be working towards a Level 2 British Fencing Coaching Sabre qualification (or equivalent), be a current member of British Fencing and be up to date on the British Fencing Coaching Register, and have successful experience in coaching Youth Fencers.
This is a zero-hour fixed term position until September 2028.
Cover will be as and when needed during the week, but we anticipate 4 hours on a Wednesday and 4 hours on a Friday, plus private lessons as required.
There will also be some weekend work to support competitions.
The rate of pay is £22.06 per hour, plus statutory holiday pay.
Any private lessons will be at a rate of pay of £26.62.
