Millfield School is seeking a highly professional and proactive Personal Assistant to provide exceptional administrative support to the Head’s Office. This is a pivotal role requiring outstanding organisation, discretion and communication skills, supporting the smooth and efficient running of the Head’s daily business.
About the Role
- Provide confidential, high quality administrative support.
- Assist with management of the Head’s diary, meetings and workflow efficiently.
- Coordinate communications and prepare documentation to a high standard.
- Act as a professional point of contact for parents, staff and external stakeholders.
- Maintain effective filing systems and support meetings, including minute taking.
- Assist with hospitality, events and occasional admissions-related tasks.
- Work closely with the Executive Assistant, SLT and PA colleagues to ensure effective communication and organisation.
About You
- At least 2 years successful experience in a comparable role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information professionally and liaise confidently with a wide range of people.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
- A calm, proactive and solution focused approach, especially when working under pressure.
- A high level of professionalism, discretion and commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Experience within an educational environment, knowledge of school systems or the British curriculum, and skills in digital dictation or record management would be advantageous.
Working Hours & Salary
This is a year round role, working Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5pm, with a salary of £30,000–£34,000 per annum depending on skills and experience, plus a wide range of staff benefits. For the right applicant, a term time plus additional weeks arrangement may be considered. In this case, the salary would be pro rated to reflect the agreed working pattern.
