This role is responsible for the planning and execution of day-to-day and period-end treasury activities including managing the company's cash flow forecast, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring compliance with company, department, and audit standards to protect the company's cash assets.
This is a new role and it will involve partnering with the Group Finance Director to create the vision, strategy, and standards by which Treasury provides leadership and value to the organization as well as managing all banking needs.
Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for planning, forecasting, and reporting of cash positions while managing the Group cash levers and positions to ensure efficient use of capital. You'll lead the treasury month-end close process, oversee the monthly reconciliation of all company bank accounts, track cash investment activities, and serve as the primary contact on all online banking platforms and other treasury platforms.
You'll be responsible for cash management and leadership, currency management, Treasury controls, policy and procedure, and any special projects. As you can see, this is an all-encompassing role; the successful candidate will be very hands-on with the ability to build integrated detailed models for planning and analysis.
You must be able to manage competing priorities and apply a robust project management approach. Experience of leading a Group Treasury capability is highly desirable or at least having previously been in a senior role within a group treasury department.
This role will involve working with multiple international teams to manage group requirements, so any international experience will be a bonus. Finally, an awareness of manufacturing along with commercial experience will be highly beneficial.
This is a particularly exciting opportunity to shape, define, and own the group treasury function of a highly successful and long-established business. It needs someone to lead from the front, be comfortable with ambiguity, have exceedingly strong communication skills, and be highly technical when it comes to developing and building models and reports.
