About the Role
As part of our continued expansion, Millers Vanguard are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-focused Technical Advisor to join our growing Commercial Team. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in the automatic door industry, particularly within the supermarket or retail environment. If you are an engineer looking to step off the tools while still using your technical expertise every day, this is an excellent opportunity to move into an office-based role with a market-leading business.
Key Responsibilities
- Review technical assessments from field engineers to identify assets that may be beyond economical repair.
- Prepare clear, structured condition reports for automatic doors and related equipment.
- Liaise with our technical and installations teams to ensure accurate information is shared internally.
- Communicate with customers where clarification or updates are required.
Qualifications
- Experience within the automatic door industry (essential).
- Knowledge of shutters, gates, or sectional doors.
- Basic Microsoft Excel capability.
- Confidence communicating via email and phone.
- Collaboration with multiple departments.
- Desirable: familiarity with loading bay lifts or dock levellers, though not essential.
