We are looking for a highly organised Technical Parts Coordinator to support our engineering and service teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and sourcing parts, raising purchase requisitions, and ensuring engineers have the materials they need to deliver excellent service to our customers.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a technical or engineering background who enjoys problem-solving, coordinating activities, and working closely with suppliers and engineers.
Key Responsibilities for a Technical Parts Coordinator:
- Assist engineers in identifying spare parts, components, and materials required for service, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Research parts using technical drawings, manuals, supplier catalogues, and manufacturer information.
- Raise purchase requisitions and support the procurement process.
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, lead times, and technical information.
- Track requisitions and orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of parts, suppliers, and purchasing activity.
- Support inventory and stock control activities.
- Work closely with engineering, service, and stores teams to ensure parts availability.
- Identify opportunities to standardise parts and reduce costs.
- Assist in resolving parts-related issues and supply shortages.
About You
We are looking for a Technical Parts Coordinator who:
- Has experience in an engineering, technical, stores, procurement, or service support environment would be advantageous.
- Can read and understand technical documentation and parts lists.
- Has excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Is confident communicating with engineers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Has good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems (desirable).
- Has strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Can prioritise workload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
