Powered Access Workshop Engineer

We are seeking a Powered Access Workshop Engineer to join our dynamic workshop team.You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of powered access equipment, such as scissor lifts. This role requires technical expertise and a focus on safety to ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and meets regulatory standards.Duties:Conduct thorough inspections of scissor lift machines to assess repair, replacement, or refurbishment needs, utilising initial field inspection reports.Perform standard diagnostic tests on machine components to determine their condition.Compile a detailed list of required parts and materials for machine preparation work.Perform overhaul, repair, or refurbishment tasks on scissor lifts in accordance with the agreed scope of work, which involves the removal and dispatching of components, as well as the installation of original or replacement parts.Inspect and test completed machines to ensure they operate at expected performance levels.On site commissioning / installation on refurbished lifts.Specific Skills:Flexibility, organisational skills, and effective time management.Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships.Self-motivated and dynamic, with a proactive approach to tasks.Proficient planning and organisational abilities, capable of working efficiently under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.Effective problem-solving skills.Knowledge:Level 3 NVQ in electrical and mechanical engineering (Preferred)Comprehensive understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.Practical expertise in using specialised tools and equipment for repairing heavy machinery.Familiarity with slinging and jacking procedures.Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8.00am – 17.00pm
