Millers Vanguard are looking for a highly motivated and experienced facilities manager to manage our small in-house facilities team. They will look to implement process and control spend across our 4 buildings whilst also developing our own FM structure. You will proactively implement and manage processes and routines alongside taking the lead in reacting swiftly and efficiently to any operational matters that arise. You will be working closely with the operations manager to ensure that the maintenance function is run smoothly and efficiently, whilst identifying any changes which can be made to improve process. Therefore, you will be responsible for the overall success of the department with full accountability for performance against KPIs as well as working to agreed budgets.
The candidate will be highly motivated and organised, whilst also being able to work autonomously, striving for the highest standards possible for Millers Vanguard.
Key Responsibilities:- Management and analysis of energy usage within Millers Vanguard's buildings.
- Process implementation – ensuring that cleaning schedules are audited.
- Daily check of the site to ensure cleanliness of our buildings and surrounding landscaping.
- Proactive maintenance of all Millers Vanguard's 4 buildings providing a quarterly dilapidation of all buildings.
- Periodic audits of all Millers Vanguard's facilities processes to ensure that standards are being met & that frequencies of cleans are correct.
- PPM – all regulatory Health and safety PPMs are completed, recorded, and reported including Fire, lighting, alarms, signage.
- Liaison with 3rd party contractors of all maintenance trades (Building, electrical etc.).
- The ability to analyse and control FM spend ranging from building maintenance, whilst liaising with our own in-house purchasing department.
- Ability to complete general 'handyman' tasks.
- Responsibility for all of Millers Vanguard's in-house gardening, cleaning & security teams.
- Responsible for the meticulous standards of our buildings & gardens.
- Responsible for managing a team of cleaners, gardeners, and security staff.
- Effective management of staff timesheets.
- You will be expected to be on call out of hours in case of emergencies.
- Experience of managing small maintenance teams or project management experience.
- The ability to use Microsoft Excel to analyse data.
- A facilities & maintenance background (building maintenance and electrical background desirable).
- Experience of workflow & shift planning across multiple disciplines (Building, cleaning, electrical).
- A keen eye for detail and organisation.
