Millers Oils, a leading name in the lubricant industry, is seeking a dedicated and experienced HGV Class 2 Delivery Driver to join its logistics team in Brighouse. If you have a passion for driving, a commitment to safety and the desire to be part of a dynamic team, Millers Oils would like to hear from you. There will be a requirement to undertake some night work to meet customer and operational requirements. Hours worked during designated night shifts will be paid at an enhanced rate. Occasional overnight stays may also be required, for which Millers Oils will pay the applicable night-out allowance.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve and maintain a safe working environment, remain fully compliant with site rules, and maintain and wear personal protective equipment at all times.
- Complete deliveries and collections across pallet and bulk distribution networks, including pumping bulk products into customer storage tanks where required.
- Deliver and collect IBCs and small packed goods, loading and unloading vehicles safely in accordance with company procedures.
- Comply with drivers’ hours, tachograph and road traffic legislation, completing all delivery and collection documentation accurately.
- Complete daily vehicle safety equipment checks and defect sheets.
- Immediately report and record any road traffic accidents, property damage, failed deliveries or discrepancies, damage and errors involving customer orders at the point of loading or delivery.
- Label and unload all collected or returned products into designated areas as soon as possible; assist warehouse staff with customer order packing and loading; undertake night work and overnight stays; provide holiday cover at the Scotland depot; transfer goods between the Brighouse and Scotland depots; and complete any other reasonable duties required to support the Operations Department.
Qualification requirements
- A valid HGV Class 2 licence is essential.
- A valid Driver CPC is essential.
- Manual handling qualifications or experience are essential.
- A Forklift Truck licence is desirable.
- Full compliance with all applicable current ADR regulations is desirable.
