Requirements and Qualifications:
- Arrives to work on time as scheduled and ready to work
- Follows Miller’s Ale House policies in all respects, including, but not limited to, time recording requirements, such as clocking in and out and responding to end-of-shift prompts concerning tasks performed and the amount of time associated with such tasks
- Interacts with Guests to provide the highest level of customer service and create Exceptional Guest Experiences by adhering to all Miller’s Ale House service standards
- Works directly with other Team Members to ensure all Guest’s needs and requests are fulfilled satisfactorily and promptly
- Assists host/hostess with greeting and seating Guests
- Assists servers with making and delivering non-alcoholic beverages
- Assists with providing Guests with non-alcoholic drink refills
- Assists servers in running food to and from Guests while ensuring proper food handling guidelines are being followed and Guests’ expectations are met
- Acknowledges all Guests that come within five feet in a smiling, friendly manner
- Provides immediate responses to Guests’ requests and inquiries
- Assists Servers with performing table quality check back (2-bite/2-minute) to ensure Guest satisfaction
- Cleans tables and spills throughout the Guests’ visit
- Assists the servers in pre-bussing dishware as the Guests have finished eating
- Provides final removal of all plate and glassware after a Guest departs from the table
- Resets all tables within a timely manner after Guest departure including perfect silverware setup and cleanliness detail
- Collects bus tubs at Quality Assurance and server stations
- Empties trash cans in the restaurant
- Ensures proper food handling and sanitation of work areas
- Accomplishes end-of-shift side work; including ensuring work areas are stocked and ready for the next scheduled shift to take over
SAFETY & SANITATION:
- Washes hands every 20 minutes throughout the shift
- Maintains clean and sanitized work areas
- Works with Team Members to ensure that safety and sanitation protocol is being executed to company standard
TEAMWORK & SKILLS:
- Supports other Front of House functions as needed, recognizing that everything within the four walls of the restaurant impacts the Guest experience
- Positively communicates with other Team Members and Management to keep one another informed
- Provides exceptional service throughout the entire shift
- Possesses communication skills and the ability to work alone as well as with a team
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age unless otherwise dictated by state law
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The Busser is expected to be able to perform the essential job functions described in this document with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical demands include:
- Remaining standing for extended periods
- Bending, squatting, and lifting, up to 30 lbs., for short distances
- Ability to work with varying noise levels
- Ability to remain balanced while carrying heavy loads
- Ability to frequently communicate and timely exchange accurate information with Managers, Team Members, and Guests in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
