Location: Portal Mill, Melksham
Job Summary: The role will include but is not limited to, effectively plan deliveries to our customer network to meet customer expectations and coordinate the loading activities on a daily basis.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Plan all UK deliveries minimizing costs whilst meeting the expectations of our customers both internal and external.
- Be the first point of contact for our drivers when difficulties are met on deliveries and work to find the best resolution whilst following established processes.
- Monitor daily reports to quickly react to any changes to plans already made in advance.
- Complete driver debriefs on return to depot recording and highlighting any feedback from our drivers.
- Scan and upload proof of deliveries daily to ensure ease of access for all when required to delivery paperwork.
- Coordinate the arrival of contractors to meet the booked loading times and reschedule loading as required.
- Ensure all available order lines are allocated to the correct vehicles at all times on day of loading to avoid failures.
- Produce delivery paperwork for all drivers following the correct process including assisting with EU road shipments and International Air and Sea as required.
- Cross Train in other areas in the department to assist as and where required.
- Ensure data accuracy in Route Plan so that all resulting documentation and logistics platforms give accurate information.

- Compliance; ensure compliance with business systems, processes, certification schemes, regulations and legislation relevant to the scope of your role. Support internal quality controls and audits to demonstrate compliance.
Job Holder Requirements:
- Previous transport experience preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
