About the Team: The team secures risk transfer solutions for professionals operating across a wide range of sectors, from established businesses through to new start-ups, on a direct basis and via third party intermediaries around the globe. When working with retail and wholesale brokers, coverholders and MGAs, we assist in arranging cover that addresses the current professional liability exposures referenced above.
What you’ll do: We are looking for a Wordings Technician to join our team, providing prompt, accurate, and effective technical wordings support directly to clients and our business unit. A good working knowledge of wordings is preferable, particularly in relation to financial lines classes of business (including PI, D&O/ML, Cyber and Crime). You will play a vital role in assisting with the production of lineslips and delegated authorities, as well as ensuring the accurate and timely production of insurance documents, and assisting in the development of bespoke wordings for clients. You will also prepare slips, policies, clauses, Evidences of Cover, and other wording products, as required.
- Provide prompt, accurate, and effective technical wordings support directly to clients and the business unit.
- Utilise strong knowledge of wordings, especially for financial lines classes (e.g. PI, D&O/ML, Cyber, and Crime).
- Assist in the production of lineslips and delegated authorities.
- Ensure accurate and timely production of insurance documents.
- Help develop bespoke wordings for clients.
- Prepare slips, policies, clauses, Evidence of Cover, and other wording products as required.
- Perform quality control checks on slips and wordings prior to broking.
- Contribute to product oversight and governance, including product comparisons and reviews for client tenders.
- Suggest enhancements to brokers for client cover.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, and comply with legal, regulatory, and financial crime-related requirements.
- Ensure compliance with external rules and regulations, including Lloyd’s byelaws and FCA rules.
- Promote the company’s brand and values to enhance its market reputation.
Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of International and US Casualty Wordings.
- Strong working knowledge of the Market Reform Contract (MRC).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of work, communication, and planning.
- Experience in the International and US Liability Insurance Broking sector, both Wholesale and Retail.
- Demonstrable ability to draft and amend bespoke wordings or clauses for International or US insurance forms.
