Are you a confident compliance leader with deep regulatory expertise in the insurance sector? We’re looking for a Senior Compliance Manager (Regulatory) to play a pivotal role in shaping and strengthening regulatory compliance across the Group.

Reporting to the Head of Compliance, this is a high-impact leadership role with responsibility for overseeing regulatory reporting, maintaining the compliance policy framework, driving horizon scanning activity, and leading key regulatory applications across the business. You will also manage two direct reports and help foster a strong, practical culture of compliance across the organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced compliance professional to take ownership of a broad and strategically important remit. You will lead on the accurate and timely delivery of regulatory returns, with particular focus on Miller Insurance Services LLP’s RMAR submissions, while also ensuring consistency and quality across wider Group regulatory activity.

You will be central to ensuring the business remains aligned with evolving regulatory expectations, providing clear and practical guidance to stakeholders, and maintaining robust frameworks, policies and governance processes across relevant entities.

Key responsibilities:
  • Oversee the accurate, complete and timely submission of all regulatory returns, including FCA RMAR for Miller Insurance Services LLP and other UK entities.
  • Own and manage the Group regulatory calendar, ensuring deadlines are met across jurisdictions.
  • Review and challenge regulatory reporting processes and controls to support strong data quality and governance.
  • Maintain oversight of international regulatory submissions to ensure consistency, accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate overseas regulatory filings and licence renewals, including high-quality supporting documentation.
  • Lead the development, review and maintenance of Group Compliance Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure effective governance and use of the Decision Focus policy management tool.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of the compliance framework to ensure policies remain current, practical and embedded.
  • Lead horizon scanning across UK entities and oversee international outputs to support a consistent global approach.
  • Assess regulatory developments and provide clear impact analysis and actionable guidance to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate responses to regulator queries and information requests.
  • Lead regulatory applications, including SMF approvals and international licensing requirements.
  • Maintain and enhance the SM&CR framework across relevant entities.
  • Oversee SMF applications and the Management Responsibilities Map.
  • Support the development of compliance training modules, with a focus on non-financial crime.
  • Contribute to quarterly Compliance Committee reporting and attend committee and Board meetings where required.

We’re looking for someone who combines technical regulatory expertise with strong leadership, sound judgement and the ability to influence at all levels.

You will ideally have:

  • A professional qualification in compliance, law or insurance.
  • Excellent knowledge of the regulatory requirements applicable to Miller Insurance Services LLP.
  • Significant experience in the insurance industry in a regulatory and compliance leadership role.
  • Proven experience advising on the interpretation and application of regulatory requirements.
  • Experience contributing to the development and implementation of compliance strategy.
  • A strong understanding of the insurance market and the regulatory environment in which Miller operates.
  • Experience managing and developing others, with the ability to lead by example.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence across all levels of seniority.
  • Sound judgement and the ability to make accurate decisions independently and at pace.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a precise, thorough approach to work.
  • Strong report‑writing skills, including experience producing reports in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • A self‑motivated, organised and collaborative working style.

If you are a proactive, highly credible compliance professional looking for your next leadership opportunity, we would love to hear from you.

Benefits:
  • 10% pension contribution from Miller. In addition, Miller will match any employee contributions up to 5%.
  • Private Medical Insurance.
  • Medicare cash plan.
  • Minimum of 25 days annual leave (with flexibility to buy more).
  • Life Assurance.
  • Income Protection.
  • Critical Illness cover.
