We have an excellent opportunity to join our market management team as an insurer relationship executive. You will be part of a new, growing and successful team; running your own accounts and projects. Role Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Market Management with the management and development of strategic re/insurer relationships to ensure budgets are met or exceeded.
- Work through the full sales process from identifying prospects to securing budget and the ongoing management and growth of the account.
- Collaborate across all Miller Group Business Units - understanding relationships, educating teams, supporting with growth and/or identifying barriers to success.
- Create and execute engagement plans, recording key activities and evidencing the delivery of required services.
- Deliver strategic insights, identifying growth opportunities and supporting the development of relationships with strategic partners.
- Think innovatively, looking at ways to increase relevance of relationships.
- Support projects that are key to our proposition, including but not limited to data dashboards, broker surveys, newsletters, events.
- Remain aware of the market – competitors, potential changes/risks in the industry which affect the division and how we work.
- Constantly think of ways to innovate the proposition, the way we present and interpret data and engage with our key partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal (across broking teams, legal, operations etc) & external stakeholders (insurers, professional bodies, regulators, brokers).
- Attend and represent Miller at external events/networking opportunities.
- Responsible for ensuring all compliance/regulatory requirements are met.
- Comply with any external rules and requirements imposed on individuals performing their role at Miller, such as Lloyd's byelaws and FCA rules.
- Promote Miller brand and values to enhance Miller's reputation in the market.
- Adhere to and meet fully the expectations of Miller, as set out in its policies and procedures, training material, and embedded in its systems and controls.
Experience
- Previous experience in the insurance industry is desirable.
- Experience in an account management or business development role essential.
- Experience of a high pressured, multi-tasking environment.
- Comfortable in presenting to senior stakeholders (C-suite level experience preferable).
Knowledge
- Understanding of general principles of insurance.
- Understanding of London market operations.
- Awareness of regulatory environment and requirements e.g. FCA, GDPR, competition rules.
- Understanding of how the market management division enables the objectives of a brokerage.
