The Workday Finance Technical Analyst partners with Finance as a strategic TDI advisor, providing expert Workday support across key financial areas. The role delivers system configuration, master data management, and business process changes, while supporting testing, resolving complex issues, and ensuring effective, well‑governed financial solutions.

Role Responsibilities

  • Serve as the TDI partner supporting Finance areas in Workday, including FP&A reporting, Expenses, Procurement, and Projects.
  • Provide consultation to Financials COEs, building domain knowledge, gathering requirements, and providing solutions and impact analysis.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on current and upcoming Workday capabilities.
  • Maintain master data values in Workday across areas of responsibility.
  • Configure, test, validate, and implement Business Process changes in Workday.
  • Assist in testing of integrations, security, and recurring events.
  • Provide input and knowledge sharing with the Workday Team Lead, Workday Team members, and clients as appropriate.
  • Serve as an escalation resource for Tier 2 & 3 issues.
  • Participate in scheduled and ad‑hoc training in order to improve policy and process acumen.
  • Design and maintain system configuration, such as cost centres and consolidations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Workday Finance experience or training preferred.

Knowledge

  • Understanding of Workday as a product and how this is used within business.
  • Understanding of Finance operations and experience in Finance data management and reporting.

Experience

  • Finance functional experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with Finance and IT clients.
  • Ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess the clients’ needs and situation.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow‑up and resolution.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple projects.
