About us: Headquartered in London, we operate internationally and at Lloyd’s. With a global team of over 1000 people and 10 international offices, we’re able to advise from Brussels to Bermuda. As an independent (re)insurance broking firm we work with intermediaries, direct insureds and reinsurers. For over 120 years we’ve been industry leaders in a variety of specialist areas.

Working here: A career with us means the freedom to flourish. Whether you’re beginning your journey or ready to make your next move you’ll find a team of talented, inspirational people who care about their work and each other. What really sets us apart is our people. We’re a diverse range of passionate advocates for doing things differently. We work together as one team, and our aim is always the outcome that will benefit everyone.

The Role: We are seeking a strategic, creative and organised Internal Communications Executive to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will play an integral part in supporting the communications team, ensuring seamless coordination of day-to-day activities through workflow tools such as Monday.com, maintaining an up-to-date communications calendar, and helping the team remain organised and focused.

The successful candidate will take ownership of our intranet platform, acting as an in-house journalist who actively seeks out and shares stories that reflect Miller’s strategy and priorities. You will be responsible for drafting internal news items, assisting in the planning and delivery of regular Town Hall events, and supporting a range of internal initiatives that keep our people informed, engaged and connected across the business.

Your main duties will include managing and creating content for Mint, continuously improving the platform and analysing its usage to identify areas where AI can be incorporated and to assist in onboarding new colleagues, particularly during mergers and acquisitions. You will handle the daily administration of the communications team, coordinate activities using Monday.com, and ensure that the communications calendar is always current.

Working closely with the Internal Communications Business Partner, you will be involved in planning, coordinating and producing content for a variety of internal initiatives and channels. Building relationships across the business will be essential, as you will be responsible for running our Communications Champions Network, enabling you to uncover and share stories that showcase our firm’s strategy, client development programmes, internal referrals, and collaborative achievements.

You will also support the promotion and planning of employee engagement activities such as surveys, internal events and strategic updates. Producing a weekly newsletter for our global audience and responding to ad hoc communication requests from internal stakeholders will form part of your varied workload.

We are looking for someone with experience in managing an intranet, developing internal content and delivering communication plans. You should be highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be a strong multi-tasker with excellent time and task management abilities, and will demonstrate outstanding messaging skills, able to adapt their communication style for different audiences, channels and stakeholders.

A creative thinker and collaborative team player, you will possess exceptional writing skills, a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling. You should be a confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills, including with senior stakeholders, and be quick to learn new tools, processes and industry knowledge. Familiarity with Monday.com, Dotdigital and Interact is desirable but not essential.

To foster greater diversity, we need an inclusive, open and supportive working environment where everyone is valued, respected and are able to meet their full potential. If you require any adjustments or accommodations to support you during the application process, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
