Special Risks The team comprises of: Accident and Health, Cargo, Credit and Political Risks, and Sports and Entertainment.

Role responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of clients’ businesses and risk management requirements, ensuring their needs are met through exceptional ongoing service.
  • Proactively monitor upcoming renewals, collecting all necessary information in advance to secure timely terms and facilitate firm order placement.
  • Prepare comprehensive market documentation tailored to both client and market specifications.
  • Support the creation of compelling presentations for new and existing clients.
  • Deliver accurate and timely client documentation, including Market Reform Contracts, Evidence of Cover, and Policy documents.
  • Ensure prompt closure of market documentation, with a strong focus on Premium Payment Warranty provisions and contract certainty deadlines, using effective diary management.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to facilitate the seamless placement and processing of insurance solutions.
  • Maintain clear and accurate placing files using our corporate document management system.
  • Work closely with compliance to ensure all internal procedures are consistently followed.
  • Enter data accurately and promptly across all relevant systems.
  • Conduct thorough quality control checks on all client and market documentation.
  • Grow and develop your portfolio by identifying new opportunities and participating in cross-selling initiatives across Miller.
  • Fully adhere to Miller’s policies, procedures, and training standards, supporting our commitment to compliance, legal, and financial crime requirements.
  • Comply with all external regulations relevant to your role, including Lloyd’s byelaws and FCA rules.
  • Champion the Miller brand and values, helping to strengthen Miller’s reputation within the market.

Qualifications:

  • A Levels or equivalent qualifications.
  • CII qualified or in progress.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Lloyd’s, the London market, and international insurance.
  • Prior experience in a technical role within Lloyd’s or the London market insurance is preferred.
  • Experience in processing, slip production, or handling renewals is highly advantageous.

Experience:

  • Some experience in a technical role within Lloyd's/London market insurance preferred.
  • Experience in processing, slip production, or undertaking renewals is highly desirable.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Lloyd's, London and international insurance.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.
