What you’ll do:
- Support with the preparation, coordination, and submission of high-quality bids, tenders, and proposals for prospective and existing insurance clients.
- The role is focused on helping the business win new commercial opportunities by ensuring submissions are accurate, compliant, compelling, and delivered on time.
Role Deliverables
- Bid & Tender Support: Assist in the management and formatting of bid and tender responses from receipt through to submission. Helping source key stats, CVs, case studies and testimonials. Coordinate bid timelines, actions, and deadlines across internal stakeholders. Draft and edit proposal responses using approved company content. Develop skills for proofreading proposals and set up skeleton drafts. Maintain and update the bid content library within Templafy.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance: Check submissions for accuracy, formatting, grammar, and compliance requirements. Ensure all supporting documents and certifications are included. Help maintain version control and document management standards.
- Market & Competitor Research: Conduct basic research on clients, sectors, and competitors. Support the preparation of presentation materials and pitch documents. Assist with lessons learned and post-tender feedback reviews.
- Other: Adhere to and meet fully the expectations of Miller, as set out in its policies and procedures, training material, and embedded in its systems and controls. Comply with any external rules and requirements imposed on individuals performing their role at Miller, such as Lloyd’s byelaws and FCA rules.
Knowledge & Skills
- Essential: Strong written English and proofreading ability. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Desirable: Previous experience in administration, sales support, marketing, or bid coordination. Experience within insurance, financial services, or professional services. Familiarity with tender portals and procurement processes. Knowledge of commercial insurance terminology. Experience using CRM systems.
