Award winning financial services organisation to a diverse client base seeks to hire a Head of Applications to join their expanding change and digital applications team in London. The business is unique in their ability to provide complete asset management solutions to their clients. The Head of Applications will contribute to digital change, application delivery and influence the use of specialised software across the business. This is a very visible role within the business.

The Head of Applications will:

  • Manage a team of application specialists managing software applications used across this leading asset manager
  • Take responsibility for digital change, application change and release management projects
  • Work with development and infrastructure teams to manage implementation of new and existing software applications
  • Manage 3rd party software partnerships
  • Take responsibility for application budgets and costing
  • Research and implement software solutions to meet business requirements
  • Work closely with internal and external senior stakeholders
  • Be primary contact for technology partners and manage relationships
  • Be part of the business's technology management team

The Head of Applications will have:

  • A degree in a related subject
  • Experience working within financial services is essential for this position
  • Implemented and supported enterprise scale software projects and change projects
  • Experience working within Microsoft environments with particular focus on products developed using .NET – C# based technology
  • Experience of introducing digital solutions within a business
  • Led diverse technology teams
  • Must have worked with 3rd party software providers and managed these relationships
  • Budget and contract negotiation experience
  • Worked closely with internal and external senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to influence decisions from senior stakeholders
